Last year I wanted to build a bike to compete on in the Andorra 500 2017. In 2016 I used one of my Lambrettas but the high mountain passes really sucked the power out of the poor little Italian shopping scooter. Unfortunately the event is not being run this year but I'm using this new bike over most all of my others as it's such a good ride. When looking for a base to build into something that resembled in some part a '60's enduros my baseline was to find something that did not require a whole bunch of mechanical work so I could concentrate my time on cosmetics. I found a sound ST via this forum. Some other forum members have asked for pictures of the build. Before the purists chime in I'll say up front ' I built this for myself and I like it' and in any case there is nothing that couldn't be returned to stock should I want to. The only part I custom chopped was the rear subframe and that was a spare paralever one I had gathering dust.

Tom From Foundry Motorcycles fabricated a custom wiring loom for me using M gadget parts. Magura levers, twistgrip and cables/hose were from Venhill. Seat was from this forum as was the R100R tank. Thanks to Paul Cardy. I'm sure you're following his sprinter and cafe racer builds.

I like the headlamp, where did you find that?

I've had this headlamp in my stash of 'nice things' awaiting a suitable project. Back in the 1970's I bought complete lighting kits from John Shirt. He took them off brand new Yamaha TY trials bikes when building his trials specials. At that time I used them to convert Japanese trail bikes into enduros. This is one I've had left over.

Don't suppose you have another one " left over" do you?
:D
