check this beauty out

will still be using the 1200 now its covered in ACF50 but this will help keep the mileage down.

6100 miles £300, bought of original owner who purchased it aged 18 in 1981.

A bit of a polish and at the likes of the Stafford Show you could stick a grand on top of the price you paid . ;)

I had one of those in 1979, it only lasted 6k miles before it threw a wobbler and holed the crankcase.

it was dull dull dull, should be fantastic as a winter hack :thumb2

just been playing with it, no rounded bolts, nothing seized, found toolkit and owners manual under seat, stripped carbs and they are spotless as is the inside of the tank - guess he must have run it out of fuel before storage.

All the wiring is as new - no green gunge etc in connectors.

well pleased

Off to get new battery now:thumb

fitted new battery, changed plugs and filled up fuel tank.

turned bike on, pressed starter, bike started.

left on choke for a couple of mins, turned it of, bike ticked over.

actually sounds quite powerful

had a look on Dave Silver spares website, boy are the bits for these things cheap after 23 years BMW ownership !!
