You say (wheels) if it is,prehaps you have gone past something that was inadvertantly spraying something out,
but havent a clue after that...!

Alloy wheel cleaner? I'm only guessing but it turns Mercedes Sprinter hub caps from black to light grey

not the dealer,
tried the following to get it off

bike polish
carnabau wax
degreaser
pledge

My dealer accidentally fucked a front wheel with a wash after service. The detergent they used (some commercial wash of sorts) left acid burns on the rim which was permanent. Nothing would get it out ...

(Dealer gave me a new wheel ...)

Wax is a surface cover and not a cleaner so that wouldn't have worked anyway. Autoglym super resin polish has mild cutting compounds in it so that might work. The staining looks like any number of products that shouldn't be allowed to dry on painted surfaces.

i used the castor green gel to clean my bike. hosed off all ok. However couple of week later noticed same effect as OP. suspect it came out of some orrifice and sprayed the back wheel. Used white spirit on a rag and then washed and polished with a spray wax. All good.

Stopped using Muc off as it it powerful for the fantastic finishes on bmw motorcycles and assists with paint corrosion. :nono

try nail varnish remover...:o

oIe seen this happen with Traffic film remover products and also where someone had sprayed with a cleaning product and not wiped it off..

give it a try..:thumb2
