Hi all,
I happened to remove the front panels from left side of gsa as my crash bar mount was loose, looking to tighten it up. Anyway I sorted that then as I was looking around in there I noticed a blanked plug with 2 wires tie wrapped to the frame. It has a blanking cap fitted to it so what ever it is its not connected or came off anything.

Would anyone on here possibly know what this is for?
Sorry no pics as I forgot to take one.
TIA

If this question related to an RT, I would say that it is an unused audio out plug from the SatNav to feed instructions for machines equipped with radios. Don't know about GS's. You could check the cabling...

It may well be the spare on the foglight loom.
There is an extra plug on that separate loom for some reason that BMW couldn't answer when I picked one up last week.

I might have a go at rigging up another set of lights to this then.
hopefully they should work along with the original fog lights too off the same button

Does it look like the unused audio out plug (brown and white wires) in the picture at the top of this thread.

If not, then it it might be good for powering something.

Again - OP states LEFT HAND SIDE.
Sat nav drops to the right hand side.
Left hand side is where the fog light loom terminates. FL loom has an unused plug on it that has a blanking plug fitted to it.
BMW can't say what its used for so unless someone here knows then get a tester out ans see what it does when you cycle lights on, fogs on, etc.
