just got back from holiday yesterday and got the bike out of the garage where it has been sat for two weeks.

completely out of character it wouldn't start, was just tuning over and not firing.

eventually it did start but ran rough for a few seconds before settling down but there was a smell of petrol, I found what appeared to be a fuel leak around where the hose attaches to the lower pipe on the pressure regulator.

turned the bike off and wheeled it back onto the drive to investigate, thing is it now starts fine and I can't make it leak again no matter what I do.

I took it for a 30 mile spin last night and it runs just fine and no sign of a fuel leak anywhere,

anyone got an idea what the problem was/is?

Maybe its to do with the high pressure/high temps putting extra pressure in the tank and forcing it out when you were away

Was the tank full when you left it ? Fuel expands especially in this heat.
