Mystery socket

Take the seat off.

At the rear of the bike, near-side on the left when viewed from behind the bike, close to the seat catch, there is a blanked-off socket, cable tied to the undertray.

It doesn't look like the usual diagnostics socket. It's not for the alarm. Can't see any mention of it in the owner's manual. Anyone know what it's for?

It sounds like the port for the dynamic pro plug. It's not as easy to access as on the S1000R.

I wondered about that but the owner's manual drawing shows it in a different place.

Just checked my bike. I don't seem to have any blanked off sockets near the rear seat catch. My dynamic pro socket is down alongside the ABS unit on the nearside.

Aha, the mystery is seemingly revealed, thank you.

Page 176, the very last page or near enough of the manual. The book describes the position as beneath the rear carrier, tied back to the inner frame; which it isn't, at least not on my bike. It comes just before 'Connecting optional accessories and racing accessories'

This is a useful socket to know about as, I assume, it's a switched live feed, my next act was to stick a volt meter across it anyway. It could be used usefully to trigger a relay and / or power all sorts of electrical goodies.

Can someone please post a pic of their socket. I can't find the bloody thing Saying that my dynamic pro socket was extremely well hidden.
