Nakambale Swallie

Probably asked before or missing the info but where (and when) do we go to get the stuff?
Not that I'm thirsty or anything

Should be a good wee swallie when we get it :thumb2:beerjug:

After the cask is bottled (26th being the required date to see it as a 12 year old), we'll know how much duty etc has to be paid. The total is divided by 12. Everyone then pays me and I pay Packer. Bank transfers will then dicate the time scale. TBH the only hold up will be if anyone in the syndicate is late in paying me cos we wont get any lovely whisky until the total bill is paid to packer (which is obivous)

Then we arrange the upift :beerjug:

I've had a suggestion that a syndicate member has offered to pick up either the entire load or most of it (I've heard this second hand so don't know if its right). Packer might prefer this as opposed to 12 ugly bastids turning up at his place of business :nenau

Twelve? Ha. You should have seen the fun the day 26 people arrived on a coach, all members of a Stockholm Motorcycle club syndicate, to collect their whisky. Great people!

They probably saved a bout a million quid compared to Swedish prices too :D

The less people who turn up to uplift the whisky means the less paperwork involved for Packer.

AndyT has kindly offered to uplift the entire consignment of bottles on our behalf. I'll go with him :D. This will probably be on 10th or 11th November.

They will then be delivered by Andy to the Blackloonies Hall for the Nakambale Swallie on 12th November. That gives us a full 2 weeks between bottling (26/10/11) and finding out the Duty due, getting all the monies in, me paying Packer and taking delivery.

I appreciate that a couple of syndicate members can't make the Swallie. I'll PM them and organise their shares.

This little get together will be on Saturday 12th November at the Blackloonies Hall.

I'll pick up the hall keys at about 4 p.m. We all could meet for coffee or a bar lunch before that at either the Strathardle Inn or Bridge of Cally Hotel.

I was at the Strathardle Inn today for a bar lunch (very nice it was too) but they only open 12-2 during the winter.

Bridge of cally Hotel it is then if anyone wants to meet up before 4 p.m. (when the hall will be opened) :thumb2

Nakambale Swallie T Shirts will be ordered soon. They'll have the whisky bottle label printed on the back and NAKAMBALE SWALLIE on the front.

Let me know who wants one and what size. £10 each :beerjug:

I'll bring them up to the hall. If anyone wants one that isn't attending, PnP will be extra (circa £2.50 IIRC)

Available in a shitty broon colour and also in brown

T Shirt order is goin in today along with payment. If you haven't ordered one by 11:00 then you wont be striding out in this winter's "must have" fashion.

Swallie attendees can pay me at the event. I'll let others know how to pay by PM and they can give me their postal addresses. T's will be posted out after 12th November.
