Nakambale Swallie

Cask (Part Deux)

We'll need to regroup for the Bowmore cask that Packer gave us a sample of at The Swallie: it's gone (or it will be tomorrow) as he has a buyer for this particular cask and needed us to buy it on Monday if we wanted it.

I've passed on it. Not enough time to get all the syndicate signed up and then all the money in within two days. Apart from that, it's a lot asking folk to part with cash a couple of weeks before Xmas.

I'm sure Packer will have a cask or two of some other peaty beast for us to select soon :jager

We'll get something organised in the New Year :beerjug:

Good reason to sample more :beerjug:

I'm sure we can come up with a time and place to check some West ones out early in the year :jager

I think we'll need to go over to Islay for a wee weekend? We also might need to hire a mini bus and driver if we want to check out the 'sights':jager

There's a campsite not to too far from the distillery...

You could do a distillery crawl. Like a pub crawl but better quality booze.

Good plan :beerjug:

End of April/May is a fine time for dram testing :jager

By the way, on Islay you can't use an expression like "the distillery" - the island has a fair few

Nae doot somebody will be along in a second to advise us :thumb

I believe the first day is spent sweeping the distillery yard and feeding the distillery cat. Day two is handballing cases of product onto an Tescos artic:thumb2

Have fun:D
