This has been on the MAG website for a while now, and various forums - but just ahead of the day - Here's A Quick Reminder!

MAG Ireland’s remit is to promote and protect motorcycling, and with so much of the effort of late focused on protection (Type Approval, Mandatory High Viz, etc.) :blagblah
it’s time to focus on the positives, and show the the benefits that biking can bring. :bounce1
Here’s how you can help!

MAG Ireland is asking for your support for this years National Ride to Work day. The idea is simple, get on your bike and ride to work, school/college, or simply meet up with a few like minded souls for breakfast or a coffee. The aim is to get as many bikes on the road as possible, and to raise awareness amongst other road users about the benefits of motorcycling.

We really want to see as many of Ireland’s 35,000+ registered motorcycles on the roads as possible on Monday next - June 18th, but we can only do it with your help! If you normally drive a car or van to work, or you usually only ride the bike on the weekends, here’s an opportunity for you to get out and and enjoy riding your bike. Need more reasons?

· Save money.
· Save time.
· Less fuel and emissions.
· Less hassle.
· Arrive happy.
How many other commuters enjoy their daily trip to work? :nenau

And there’s more!

If all of the above hasn’t convinced you, or you simply want to contribute something more tangible on the day, you can also help raise funds for Down Syndrome Ireland
(http://www.downsyndrome.ie/) by purchasing a Ride to Work sticker from MAG Ireland.

... they are now available to purchase online direct from MAG Ireland priced at €6.15 which includes handling, postage & paypal fees so you can be certain a full five Euro goes to DSI. :thumb2

Does your insurance cover you for commuting?

If you have an Aon bikecare or Liberty Mutual policy you are covered for commuting (all their policies cover commuting by default). Groupama have confirmed that their policies will cover you on the day. MAG is awaiting a responses from Royal & Sun Alliance. If your policy is underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance you should check that commuting is covered. We’ll post any updates as we get them.

If you’re a twitter user follow @mag_ireland for the latest information.
