As many of you know, I got a puncture on the rideout into mid Wales.
I got the tyre replaced by National Tyres in Brecon as they had been recommended in this forum.
Unfortunatley, the numpties damaged the rim with the hydraulic press. Cosmetic damge. The wheel is still useable.
They admitted doing the damage and asked for a quote for a new wheel. Rydales in Cardiff provided this and I sent a letter with my claim to NT Brecon.
I also returned the survey card to customer services detailing the damage.
My letter to Brecon seems to have been ignored (its only been 2 weeks though). However, the card sent to head office found its way to the area manager. He has been on the case, contacting Brecon and me to get the 2 sides to the story. Within 24 hours, he has ordered a replacement wheel from Rydale in Cardiff which will arrive tomorrow.
So, National Tyres, your branch staff need some better training in tyre fitting and customer service but I cannot fault the area manager. Top bloke.
