nav 4 maps info

so i have nav iv that came with a recently new to me bike,map info says

cn europe nt 2016.20 3d and

cn europe nt 2016.20
(1) uk and ireland

so i am trying to do a route to spain and when i go to change country when inputing the address it goes straight to scotland and no optoins.

yes im not tech savvy so apologise if this is very obvious to those in the know

it looks like you only have uk and ireland , and the generic base map along with the 3d map, that gives you your buildings view when close. hope this helps

but i have just updated the maps on garmin xpress and im sure it said europe?,if not where do i download europe?

Your device has the correct maps.
Are both EU options ticked?

yes they are both ticked,tried unticking and try again for spain and no worky

Suggest you reinstall the maps with GE. I presume you've got an SD card installed which it requires as it won't all fit on the device.

yes sd card is in,reloaded maps this eve and no change is it worth doing it again?

Yes, the U.K. Ireland info should not be there. Save any routes/ favourites & do a hard reset after to reset the device.

If this doesn't work, I would try formatting the SD card (Fat 32)

pc,since the hard reset the maps location goes straight to garmin in the us and the post code searcg has dissapeared

After formatting SD card reinstall maps. Sounds like the device needs a satellite fix if it's showing USA it needs to see sky for a short while to get a satellite fix

How did you search for postcode?
Where to > Address > Spell postal Code.
