Okay ive just purchased a 16gb card to replace the 4 gb i had in the unit
but its still saying the card is not big enough ,
so what do i have to do to get the info onto this replacement card ?
im using a mac .
where are all the yodas out there that have a clue on electrickery stuff :D

First thing I would try is reformatting the card to fat 32 to rule out any errors on the card.

What else are you putting on the card or is it just maps?

Using Garmin Express > reinstall maps to device with card installed via the advanced tab.

Garmin only recommend a 8gb card for the 660 but I use a 16gb card in my Nav 4 (same unit). You should have loads of extra room!

Okay the card is at fat 32, i looked for the advanced options but it keeps taking me to the page saying there is not enough space on the card , choose a region , then it just sits there and buffers , and nothing comes up.

Hi Stevie,

I had the same problem yesterday evening. You're using a Mac, so reformat the card as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" - you can do this using your Disk Utilities programme in the "erase" tab. The card should then work as advertised - it did so on my Nuvi...

Mike

Have you ever thought that the unit ain't seeing the card 660's are known for it., and more descriptive title may get more positive answers
