I have a problem with my Navi III, in that the sound is not getting from the Sat Nav to my helmet speakers. It's not the unit itself as I can hear the speech through a Bluetooth headset. I suspect it's either the cradle or the small lead that plugs in at the bottom lhs of the unit as you look at the unit whilst your sitting on the bike.
I've got a replacement second hand cradle (many thanx to Shaun again for that, top fella) but don't know how to remove the lead that goes into the back of the cradle, to swap them over.
I gave it a gentle pull, but that didn't work, nor did trying to persuade it off with some gentle twisting.
Do any of you fine people know how the lead actually comes out/in, please?

The cradle I sent you the lead is out I think and it is a 5 pin head and needs some gentle pursading to pull out I think. Although saying that I always used a seperate 3.5mm jack for audio though my autocom as plugged in under the cradle on the left side.

Thanx Shaun, I use a Baehr intercom & it has a small lead going to the unit, that unplugs no problem. The lead I'm talking about is the one that has been cut through. Can that one be removed with some sweet talking & brutal force?

Yes give it a good pull its a weatherproof plug so is pretty tight. But I obviously pulled it out on the cradle I sent you as it was in use until a few months ago.

The lead I'm talking about is still attached to the cradle you kindly sent me, it's been cut about 6" from the plug itself.

(Bet you wish you'd not bothered now, sorry).

Hi just found pic on my PC the lead you are talking about is the one that splits in two one to the cradle and the other fits the GPS unit.

The second lead I sent you'll notice is almost exactly the same apart from it is designed for a non-canbus bike, you'll see that the y part again has the Part that fits into the GPS unit and on the other arm of the y is a round 5 pin plug ( i think it is 5 pin) this is the plug that goes into the cradle. It is a waterproof plug and is a very tight fit so give it a good pull and wiggle and it will come out.

Terrific, cheers. All sorted now, well sort of.
Thanx to the cradle you sent me I've proved it to a faulty lead.
If I push the jack all the way in I hear no sound at all, but if I push it part way in it works fine. I'm not convinced how effective it will be when the bikes actually moving - but at least I know now where the problem lies, so thanks again for everything.
