Hi
does anyone know if the plug for the SPIII fits staright into a Quest? I have the wiring in place for an SPIII and am thinking of replacing it with a Quest. Would be handy not to have to replace all the wiring.
Many thanks
Phil

The quest appears to have a different plug.
If you log onto the Garmin website and follow Support --> Manuals you will find the instruction manual for the Quest.

Quest uses a bracket type arrangment, SP3 uses a plug.

Probably cheapest to get the RAM and Q-Pac to mount the quest, or buy the Garmin one.

In a word.. No.

SPIII and Quest cable are not interchangeable. The Quest needed an external power source in the form of a Vreg power chipset where as the SPIII has inbuilt power unit, hence size of the devices, so either Garmin bike cradle kit/RAM-B-202 or RAM-HOL-GA15/RAM-B-238 with QPAC options or TT cradle with own power lead were the options.

Thanks

Thanks guys - appreciate that - all good advice.

Phil
