I am out trying my new Nav 4 and have the master volume, media and navigation on 100% the music volume is just about ok but the navigation volume is very quiet and can only be heard at all below 40 mph! The autocom volume is on max and is ok when we talk is there anything I can do to improve this? I have the lead from the Bluetooth dongle in aux 2.

I have taken the Helmets apart (Arai) and moved the speakers slightly can't tell which way they should go though? I have also cut some of the excess foam away around them, again hope to try tomorrow!

Any ideas? Otherwise the Nav 4 performed well so happy otherwise

I have tried the other aux sockets, they made no difference! The speaker position hasn't helped either, I even tried moving the helmet about on my head in the garage to hear if there was much change.

I just wired the Nav 4 to the autocom to see how much louder it would be, it improved the navigation sound over Bluetooth but didn't seem to make much difference to the music so I didn't learn much?

Update: after speaking to Garmin I have reinstalled the 5.1 update which has improved the volume although it is still not perfect! Garmin said not all the files had installed correctly, although it had said the update was successful.

Another update been out on the bike today and still can't hear the navigation commands at motorway speeds! Borrowed another Nav 4 and a Nav 5 from the dealer, the nav5 is much better! Now got to see if I can get an upgrade from BMW even if I pay the difference?
