Navigator Travel insurance

they will have "standard packages" to sell under the Tesco brand but as a proper broker, should be able to tailor something to your needs under their own brand
Thanks for all your input :thumb2

I have now gone with Voyager long stay Backpacker..gives me 70 days cover for £100.01..
I felt that this was very reasonable for the cover supplied and also the duration...and for those who are interested, this particular option will provide cover for 18 months !

I managed to get through to their call centre very quickly and was connected to a very informative and professional person ( called Michael ) who dealt with all the usual in a very fast, efficient ( and friendly ) manner ...so nothing negative to add.

Now I just need to sort something out for Ukraine...

Are you looking at one particular policy or is that a blanket limitation over all the policies that Navigator offer?
Turns out after talking to them that other policies they have offer cover just waiting to see what they cost!
The renewal email for the current policy quote has quite a price hike as it is although as I do some longish trips it’s a more complex policy than the basics

Thank you for the quick clarification, appreciated.

The forum needs to be careful with blanket or innocently sweeping statements such as “The policy does ( or does not) cover XYZ”, simply as things do change and / or get misread or misunderstood. This is particularly true when one provider (in this case, Navigator) might well offer several different policies, each with different conditions. It is no good a bod saying, “But my mate says his did….” after the event, as it’s then too late.

A good example would be the previously very popular Post Office travel policy, which used to include motorcycling with no upper cubic capacity limitation. One year, the wording changed to put in an upper cubic capacity limitation of 1500 cc. Anyone who owned, as I do, a 1600 BMW (or similar) would be stuffed, if all their mate told them was, “It covers motorbiking, mate. It’s brilliant”. His mate, was both right and - more importantly - wrong, simultaneously. The one certainty is that his mate probably won’t be around when the error is discovered, after the loss has occurred.

So the quotes are in,
Seems I need to look around at all the options as the quoted premiums are almost quadruple last years!!😳
Maybe need to separate the long trip out and see how that works
