New Navigator 5.

I have an Avantex Blue Tooth RX that I was planning to put in my pocket and use my Ultimate Ear spekers with. It pairs but no sound comes through. Everyhting is activated and check boxed on the Nav and it says it' connected. I get the "beep, beep" to confirm it is but nothing - no sound, promts or music. It is A2DP compatable.

There is no volume control on the RX just on or off. It pairs ok with everthing else in the house (iPhoine 6 etc.)

Any ideas what I an doing wrong or should I just bin it and pay more money out for a better bit of kit? This was less than £20.

If you haven't already tried, make sure everything other than you nav5 is switched off including phone, then try it, phones that have been paired can be a problem!

Do you have other audio devices paired to your Nav V? If so, I'd unpair those and unpair the RX and then pair it with the Nav V again.

There is a known problem (Garmin confirmed) where the Nav-V won't connect properly with certain devices.

Its an incompatibility with the BT software. I have the same problem with my Windows Phone

I think the problem here is with the ear speaker you are using. dont think this item makes your speakers into a bluetooth headset, which is what the nav needs to connect to and for you to listen too.

I think this item is for connecting to bluetooth headsets and blue tooth speakers and then in turn connected to a bluetooth device like an iPhone etc

If you plug in your speakers and then connect to the iPhone does it play tunes you can listen too ????
