Navman S80 Europe

Thinking about buying a cheap sat nav to stick in my tank bag and recieve directions through autocom, is this one any good.

Saw a simialar priced Tom Tom but it had no jack for audio out.

This is cheap as chips and easily "hacked" to run TomTom or MioMap with European coverage.

Before using any car-oriented sat-nav on a motorcycle think carefully about how to mount it. None of these devices are waterproof unless they explicitly claim to be. The problem with putting one in the tank bag map window (which was where I was intending to put the S80 to try it out) is that LCD screens have a very limited viewing angle and unless you look at it from exactly the right direction the screen becomes invisible, particularly in direct sunlight. The S80 does lots of things for not much money (including taking photos although how well I don't know) but it wasn't designed for bike use.
