Navteq has mapped Ireland

Since 2000, Navteq (supplier of maps to Garmin) has been busy driving the roads, boreens and alleyways of Ireland. They now have all of Ireland mapped in their 2006 maps.

Garmin has informed me that Navteq 2006 will be in their (Garmin's) Feb 2007 release of V9 maps. They have just released (or are about to release V8).

Sooooo.... in short Garmin will have full coverage of Ireland from about this time 2007 (provided you upgrade to v9).

Sorry 'bout that. I only saw your post after I posted. Believe me I wish it was all in v8.

I've seen Navteq's beta maps for Ireland and they're impressive. Can't wait.
