Hi,

I live in Surrey at the moment but I will be moving to Sidmouth soon...

Is there anyone who lives near?

Any regular groups/meets/rides?

..........oh dear.....:(

....looks like I am going to have to ride 150 miles before going for a ride:confused:

At least in the South East I know I can have fun:bounce1

What am I going to do during weekdays???? Ride alone I guess:rolleyes:

I'm in Weymouth and available during the week/weekends and looking for some rides/company also. Most action down here appears to be down in Cornwall, which you will be a lot closer to. Hampshire way appears to be more off-road (I could be wrong!). Delighted to meet up when you move!

Hi captian.

the good part about the south west it only takes an hour to get round coast to coast
i'm in north devon which is only 50 min away so drop me a line when you move will be happy to show you around the north coast

cheers Badger

Hi, hi.....we're just outside of Exeter.....should be lots of things going on over the next few months....let us know when you're down here....:)

What's wrong/to be feared about riding alone?

It's a good opportunity to find your way around.

You could do some more Ride Reports, detailing the discovery of your new environment!

Don't forget that Devon has more miles of road than Belgium, get out there and find them!

Nothing wrong in riding alone.... I do it most of the time.:(

If you check on this forum in the South East section though, I have on two occasions organised rides with tossers. The first I had eleven tossers turn up for a blast to Cowdray, the last, 'Mothering Sunday I had twenty odd doing a convoy not before some serious scratching and it was a gas....

I like to see like minded people getting along and having ride outs together.

Yes riding alone and discovering good fast safe routes is what I do best-but I grew up in London and Surrey so Devon and Cornwall is very alien....and starting all over again at my age.....:rob

I have had a couple of nice tossers respond now so things are looking up:D

I don't want to end up being the 'Lone Adventurer' .....High ho Silver-away....

.............still trying to work out if that's good or bad :D

It's good :thumb2
Unless you like your roads dead flat, like Norfolk :eek
We got some nice 'ills like Porlock and nice coast roads, all with hills.
In fact all Devon, Cornwall and most of Zummerzet is an Hill

near Sidmouth anyone?

not anymore...used to think nothing of going to the Esplanade basement bar on Sidmouth sea front when it was a biker / cool hangout.

...and waking up on the beach under a boat after the saturday night of the folk festival....

Not near Sidmouth anymore, but that's where i was born.

Enjoy your move :thumb2
