My 650 Dakar would not start last night, think it may be a problem with the meta alarm system, do you know any good guys that do call outs to central London.
The meta alarms have a means of disarming the alarm / imobliser with the ignition key have a look at your instructions and the numbered tag that comes with it.
Sorry...this is almost a hijack but it may be relevant...Yosi reminded me of when I used to work for the AA...I ran a team that worked around Crystal Palace and every day we got calls from car owners (mainly Rover drivers actually) around that area......the RF radiation from the towers screwed their alarms up....only way of getting them off was to tow them doen the road a mile or so and suddenly the remote plinger would work again.
Similar things happened with Sparkrite alarms in bright sunlight...remember those little IR pads they had on the SP series alarms??
No, don't suppose you would, but they were suscebtable to being fekked up by bright sunlight..the solution was to put a piece of black card over the pad outside the windscreen and five minutes later they'd work again.
Sorry, Hijack over, but as Yosi says, it might be down to interference.
