I am currently using Tourances on my 1150GSA and I am happy with them. My new 12GSA will arrive with TKC-80's which I plan to replace with a more on-road friendly tire. The Tourances looks too tame to go with GS bikes. I am considering the MT-90 Scorpions. Any reviews versus the Tourance?

I`ve got MT90 Scorpions on both my 1100GS`s and consider them superior to Tourances.

The Tourances are superb tyres, mind, but I found the Pirellis give better feedback in all conditions.

The Scorpion ST is the one for pure tarmac use.....the Scorpion AT for tarmac plus occasional off road use.

I have Scorpions on my KTM Adv. They are definitely more agressively treaded for off-road stuff - they dont get nearly as slippy as Tourances on wet stuff. Nowhere near as good as nobblies of course, but sort of inbetween nobblies and Tourances.

They do wear faster though - the rear particularly, so I assume they are softer than the Tourances.

On road they are fine enough - plenty of grip wet & dry.

ricochet which scorpions do you intend to fit ST or AT, if AT what size? As I am looking at the same type for my adv like you prefer the look to the tourances.

The MT-90 ST since I am doing mostly on-roads. The thread pattern looks more rugged to me versus the Tourance.
