Need to move a car on transporter (Wirral ) just 5 miles

Originating from the Wirral herself, Ange was the ideal candidate to test the Landy's pulling power.

In her own words "How can I possibly drape myself seductively over 'that'" things got off to a poor start:comfort

But hold on a flippin minute, I believe she's being wooed by it's character:mad:

A great vehicle mate, enjoy:thumb:beerjug:

I would have thought the gypo's would have had that away during the night, but it appears there are limits to which even they wouldn't stoop:D

Love the 'phat' sound system. :augie :D

And that clock would have been rejected by the Ural Q.C. Inspectorate. :D :D

Feck me,Kenny, what have you done ? :nenau :nenau

And you wondered why my phone didn`t get answered, and my house door remained shut ?? :P :P

I couldn't remove some of the rusted bolts whilst trying to get the front

Heavy bastird it was too !!!

Wiring could have been better...all replaced as well now:)

Even discovered the chassis is galvanised:augie

HI Kenny, does look much better now, call round when you get her out and about.

Hello Kenny, I had my Landy insured by the NFU. Not always the cheapest, but they have a reputation for dealing fairly and sensibly. Plus mine was so heavily modified I was into specialist category anyway.

As it's more than 20 years old and you have a second car (Rav4?) you may be able to go down the classic low mileage route. Buy a landy mag and peruse the insurance adverts.

I think there's something not quite right with the footwells. There should be a proper crease in the bottom where it comes back up the bottom of the bulkhead. The proper floor panel is flat, and bolted to the bottom lip of the bulkhead. Other than that it looks like it's got some promise. If I had the room (flat room would be better) I would be tempted to have another classic IIA, but this time not bugger it about so much :blast

Thanks guys...pics taken today and all finished ( is that possible? :D ) except for a spare 235/75X15 tyre needed and a number plate made up ( still awaiting V5c )..then MOT time.
Not sure where the chassis number is stamped ( I seem to recall there was a plate inside with the chassis number on..can you buy them with your chassis number stamped onto it?)

Finally settled on Adrian Flux at £118 fully comp ( as usual they said they'd call back - from last Wednesday  - so I'll call them tomorrow...then just a tax disc to 'acquire' and all happy days :D

My chassis plate was riveted to the inside of the bulkhead, where the transmission plate is riveted on yours. Mine was a IIA mind, so they'd probably changed the plate arrangements since 1966 :augie

When mine was rebuilt by Arrow chassis, they 'lost' my plate, so provided me with a blank one in return. Simple job with a set of number punches. I then screwed it to the rear bulkhead after I'd replaced my bulkhead and didn't fancy drilling too many holes into it.

Looking better but still bear in mind what I said, what the eye can't see.............cover with checker plate.......How's the gearbox? transfer box? drive shafts? seems you've sorted out the lectrics.

All knackered..bought it as a geranium pot :D

Neverodeitbefore..thanks for that, I'll see if I can get one :thumb2

Oh and I found the VIN plate...couldn't see the wood for the trees :D

Underneath is superb condition:bounce1

Right, that's your lot...thanks for all the advice/information/guidance etc...all appreciated and still a BIG thanks to Timpo:thumb2

P.S. Should I paint it red ?
