Not toured with the Neotec yet (I'm off next week to Italy with it) but I can't see the internal SRL comms battery lasting all day if playing music, I may have to carry a long USB cable and plug it in to keep it running/charging whilst riding all day.

I have the Neotec 2, with the SRL, and even though it's 4 years old, it lasts at least for 6 hours riding, playing music all the time.

Does your unit keep working if it's charging? As far as I know the Sena units in my Schuberths don't work if they're plugged in for charge.

Personal Update:

On Tuesday, I have picked up my "price beat" bargain Neotec 2. Fitted previously purchased SRL Mesh comms, You only have to remove the cheek pads and plastic covers on either side and a battery compartment cover followed by the foam that is filling in the void.
Fitting comms, and pinlock overall took around an hour with a bit of glancing at the instructions, being distracted by the conversation from my wife. Anyhow, I recon once can get it done nice and neatly in around 30 minutes. It is certainly easy enough to do.

Yet to wear the lid in anger on the road, but quality of speaker is a massive improvement over my Sena (for Arai) 10U version.

Does your unit keep working if it's charging? As far as I know the Sena units in my Schuberths don't work if they're plugged in for charge.

Your Comms should last you all day without a problem. I am yet have them run out of juice on me. The only time this happened is when I forgot to charge it the previous day. However, I still managed to get a good half a day from it. With regards to charging on the go, Sena do not allow this as it will shut down the power up function. My understanding is, that this makes flows for the USB port to recognise when cable plugged in, that is needs to be be updated periodically.
I carry a small power bank with me, so that wen I do need to top up battery, I do so, whilst having a coffee, lunch, or a leg stretch.

I love my Neotec 2. The SRL lasts all day when touring and sounds pretty good too. The only downside is the small buttons on the left side. Even with summer gloves, I find them difficult to find.

Persisted for long enough with the main unit buttons, so just ordered the Sena RC3, as I don’t pair my phone to it, so cannot use Siri, etc

For my Tmax scooter when commuting with my C4 with Sena SC1A comms, I pair it to a small Sena handlebar remote that has a small joystick for previous/next track and volume up/down. It works really well and is quick and intuitive to use.

If only the volume was controlled by the whizz wheel it would be perfect as it is. Sadly that feature doesn't work on my GSA.

I may try and pair this small remote with my Shoei SRC to make quick volume changes whilst riding the GSA rather than have to fiddle with the +/- buttons on the helmet.

The whirly wheel thing on my new 1600, now controls the volume on my new Sena Mesh.

Thst being said, I don’t find the buttons on the helmet that hard to work, when on the move.
