Win7 7 installed on the desktop just fine.
Now I am back to "How the hell did I manage to persuade my laptop to see the 3G dongle hanging off a USB port on the desktop, so it can access the Internet."
It took me a lot of farting around to get it to work previously under XP. This time doesn't seem like it's going to be any easier.
The laptop can see the desktop and its available disks via the network & vice versa.
The dongle is "Shared" for internet usage.
Normally the 3G dongle just appears as an icon on the laptop when the desktop is on the Internet. At the moment, nothing.
I can't remember the final stages of the solution I found previously, but am wondering if I should be "bridging" the 3G dongle to another connection?
