Hi all wonder if anyone can help. Sometimes when the engine is cold and I shift to neutral the neutral light doesnt come on. When I fill with pertol in the morning this can be a problem because without the neutral light on the bike wont start. If it does it when the engine is running, I down shift to 1st let the clutch out a little then reshift to neutral the light come on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI Spike you should be able to start the bike with the sidestand up and the bike in gear provided you pull the clutch in ????

If you can't then the clutch switch is bolloxed or stuck

IS the bike in Neutral with the light off? perhaps a rock back and forward?

AS far as the neutral light it's on the back of the gearbox get a load of WD40 or equivalent into it and work it and see if things improve?
It may have water or road crud in there Even better remove it and dry it out then treat it with water dispersant / repellent Also clean and waterproof grease the connectors
