Lemon Law

If you where in the states I believe the lemon law could of helped you out of the fix. Where all the problems fixed or still pending. Surely they where sorted so it wouldn't be a bad buy with all those new parts.

He will enjoy his Pan I am sure.........Honda do good bikes, but I believe they have a share of problems also. At least on the RT he will not get thrown off:rolleyes:

E W S

We have just got back from our Assen trip and one of our Bikes had a fault with the E W S . After phoning the Dealer we were told there is a PERFORMANCE ADJUSTMENT in other words they have screwed up again BMW do not like recalls its money. Its just another Death Trap White Elephant Servo Scam

Vernon you are the bastard son of nemezis and I claim my soapy tenner :D

What I cannot get my head around with this range of bikes is why are some Ok and others so bad?I have had two my first was appaling and yet this second one has been fine.It seems that some bikes everything fails and others nothing fails!I just do not understand:nenau

Servo on a 1200RT ????

Not a standard part as far as I kanow. I had 2 and neither had a servo.

:handbag

Anyway I have had my fair share of failures and problems with BMW and am hoping Honda bring out a Varadero GS1200 Adventure that I can think about buying and is remotely as good as the GSA1200 I have. (apart from the problems I've got)

Good wind up anyway.

Well...the common denominator here is the rider...some good some bad...food for thought :stopbeing

I can think of cheaper ways of learning how to ride a look after a bike:)
Oh dear someone who has been fortunate enough to have a bike with no problems so they feel quaified to talk bollox.
I know very well how to ride and maintain bikes,I have had enough bikes in my time, some stripped and rebuilt as well as road cars and rally cars(usually built from a shell up). Some of these bikes go wrong on their own and others do not.
You seem to be implying that when ones EWS fails or fuel pump relay expires,or the rear wheel bearing is found to be loose or the swingarm siezes in the frame,or the frame mounts crack or the servo goes out to lunch that it is the riders fault!
Put yer brain in gear before you put fingers to keyboard:handbag

AND IT WAS NOT EXPENSIVE AT ALL.BMW CHANGED THE BIKE.........THEY DO THAT ALL THE TIME WHEN NOTHING IS WRONG WITH A BIKE

Oh dear - he took the biat a bit early:thedummy

I don't disagree...but still hook, line and sinker:oonyack

Pointing out the flaws in a persons argument is not being taken in "hook, line and sinker" it is simply pointing out the glaringly obvious flaws in their argument.
Frantically back peddling and typing "hook, line and sinker"only goes to show how ill thought out the initial comment was:augie

Oh and yeah quite right i dont suffer fools gladly:oonyack
