Tried searching but couldn't find so sorry if posted elsewhere - are Tobinators available yet for the new Adventure? No news on Tobers website that I can see either.

Thanks

Does it need them? I thought the screen was supposed to be a great improvement over previous screens:nenau

Then's no reason for the standard ones not to work, but I haven't trial fitted a set yet. I'll have to sneak into Vines and try them on their demo.

I really do not believe this screen (that is the best GS screen that BMW has produced IMHO) needs any major Tobertinkering ... sorry Tobers! And I say this as someone who has used his Tobernators very successfully on a CeeBailey with my 1150 for a couple of years. There may of course be some who want more adjustment but I doubt it will help any. What I can say is that I have had my ADV for a week and been VERY impressed with the screen. I am 6'2" I have made a small adjustment to the OEM setup (I believe that the bike is designed by BMW and perfected by myself! :) What I have done is saw off the knob at the top of the inner black plastic slide adjuster - this allows adjustment to the full upright position. Also I have added the Wunderlich bottom screen adjusters which allow another 20mm of adjustment.

Do Tobinators for a 1200 fit the 1200ADV?

YUP!
Fitted them to mine yesterday having picked up the bike on Saturday,I did toy with the idea of fitting the "vibration eliminators" only, but figure you cannot have too much adjustment so I fitted the whole lot ,excellent bit of kit :thumb

Just got the bike over the weekend and wanted it to do the same..
The little Clit attached to the adjuster stops it going to the fully upright position..
Can it be turned around instead of de-clitting?

Been there ... tried that ... I spent one trip fiddling with the screen height (I'm 6' 3") and decided that I needed the extra adjustment, so concluded that I could turn the adjuster thru 180deg. When I got home and dismantled it I concluded otherwise as the base of the adjuster is ramped at an angle to suit its orientation.

Bit the bullet and spent 20secs with a hacksaw, knocking off the 'clit' and adding an extra groove where the clit used to be (to allow the clip to cinch home). As a result I can use two extra higher positions and I've settled on a quieter ride behind the highest setting for now ... strip them off, its nearly as quick to do as think about it.

Doesn't seem to affect the strength/positioning of the screen mount, which was a possible issue, but you aren't modding the thru bolt anyway. I notice a little more resonance of the screen at some speeds/loads, but mounting my GPS up there on the upper bar will cure it ;-)

I circumcised my GSA the day I got it (de-clitted), and still cant get the screen high enough to stop the turbulence on my bonce

Have ordered Tobinators with the anti-vibrate thing, and hopefully that will make a difference.

However, it would seem that a Tobinator type thing is also needed on the screen adjuster knobs as well as at the front. That way the entire screen could be raised whilst maintaining the same screen angle. Anyone know if there is someone selling one of these?

Thought long & hard about making rear adjusters as well (like the 1150 Tobinators). It's a bit complex though, with the main problem being maintaining enough friction against the ridged adjusters, and maintaining the spacing with the screen.

I decided against it but am happy to reconsider. I'll have another look-see at my bike tonight and determine if I'm going to be suitably enthused compared to laying more flagstones on my new patio.

Tobers - pls pls pls come up with some rear adjusters... Surely some kind of fishplate arrangement would do the trick?

OK - will finish laying the patio (wife pressure is stronger than tosser pressure!) and get on with it.

Have you finished that patio yet ?

I would like some Tobninators for my GSA12!!!

Yes ta - patio is all done and very nice indeed thankyou.

Progress on rear screen adjusters however has been alarmingly slow, possibly negligible or even actually zero. Sorry - I can only apologise, but I've been fiddling with my KTM which is a bit buffety as well...
