For the GS bikes with a centre light I find it best to reduce brake light intensity to 10% so that the multifunction red level is a constant intensity under running and braking conditions.
The centre light can either be left as brake only, or the option to use as low intensity running light could help with visibility.
For the sport bikes without centre lights it's not so clear what would be best. You can reduce the brake light intensity to avoid flooding out the indicators, but actually you REALLY want people to know if you're on the brakes!
