Picked up my new GS LC yesterday . I'd already bought a stainless crud catcher and radiator guards from Mark Hooton of this parish , would you believe the 16 MY have a black engine! Anyway a trip to Scunthorpe next week to swap for black. The stainless guards however are fitted and are excellent .

So I now need engine bars, I'd decided on stainless Wunderlich engine and tank from our friend Nippy but the question is do I now go for black?
Also looking at top box options , I'd decided on Givi with a stainless rack but again do I now go for the black plastic option?
Also could some kind soul post a picture of a Givi outback 58 ltr on a GS please? Other option seems to be Trekker or a black plastic one?

Fella call me before you come over to swop over the front crud eh? Told you it should`ve been a black one.........:D

I`m sure whatever advice you get off the lads will be brill however I`m not a great lover of Givi topboxes, IMVHO the `roundyness` (made up word) just doesn`t seem to work well with the lines of the bike! A black plastic one (pelican?) might be good?

I have a Givi Treker 58 ltr. Very spacious and I think it looks good and even sort of matches the Vario panniers. It does however make the bike a little unstable. Nothing serious and livable with but not ideal. I keep it for longer trips when I need the luggage space.
On a more personal note, I do not like a box which has to be locked every time it is closed, thus needing a key every time you open it. Prefer a box that can be kept unlocked until the need to lock arises!

I use a V47, which is plenty big enough and not too ugly

Ayup Dave,

So you gone back then.:D

Regarding top boxes have a look at the Givi Outback in black. Looks so much nicer than the rounded plastic ones.

Or find yourself a used BM adventure Top Box and cover it in carbon wrap. I've just done mine and I think it looks a treat.

Enjoy your new bike.

Worked almost every Monday night for the last 7mnts so haven't been able to get to ARB.
