which one is the easiest to install and which one would you recommend
The Accelerator Module has now gone the same route as the Booster Plug did years ago with an external temperature sensor. Whats happening?

aah, could not wait for reply, so have just ordered the extended module. now i cant wait to plug and play.
Mine arrived today.I have a 200ml run arranged for tomorrow on varying roads,so I will let the collective know my thoughts.
Steve
Today,I did 300 miles of highway 70-80mph's and back roads 25-55 mph's.
Also was accompanied by a buddy with a 2006 GS Adv "Non-modified/stock" bike. We switched bikes several times to compare.
Startup's from complete stops I or we couldn't tell/feel any power differences, only that the bike did feel a *tad* smoother.
Accelerating in turns/sweepers/straights again at different speeds, everything pretty much felt the same from bike to bike.
Only difference we agreed upon tho,was with the Accel-Plug the bike/engine was definately smoother and especially at highway speeds.
But remember my bike with the Acel Plug has 38K+ miles and my buddys bike has 24K miles. So maybe my engine is a touch more broken in.
Monday I'll fill the tank and record gas mileage.

Last nights fillup was 6.26 gals, travel was 278.4 miles which comes out to be 44.43 mpg's. Riding as described above. So,pretty much the same mpg's as always.
I think as a one more time experiment,I'll remove the *plug* and see if any changes in smoothness, power and mileage. It only takes a few minutes to do this.
It sounds like your bike is running pretty sweet anyway.
It seems that the most benefit in fitting the Accelerator, is felt by owners of recent 2008/9 GS’s. These appear to have a very lean fuel map as standard. Older GS’s would seem to run richer, so the difference in performance is not as noticeable.

Combined city lo and medium speeds with stop n go's..nothing really too noticeable. Maybe a slight lessening of vibe's on the throttle hand but thats about it.
Highway driving...definately a lessening of the buzz in the throttle hand at 4000 rpm's. And so that might be a determining factor for those who wish to purchase.
Accelerations 'bout the same, but really hard to tell if any kind of performance gain.
Resistance readings taken on the plug unit shows .4 ohms at 78-80°F.
.9 ohms at roughly freezer temps for 5 minutes. In the sun at 85°F 4-5 minutes .2 ohms.
In closing...unless the bike is put on a dyno in a controlled environment,*seat of the pants* info is about all your gonna get/feel. Again a placebo effect could/will affect outcome.
Goodluck to those of you who choose to purchase one.

Mine arrived and was fitted today in less than ten minutes.
I'm off on a 3500 mile wo up trip down through France and into Spain next week so should be able to post some observations re: performance and fuel economy when I return. Mine's a 2005 model.
