New Adventure Bike Reveal 02/11/2026

If they greatly simplified the electronics and switches as well as addressed the snatchy throttling and engine heat I could be interested in one again.

How about swapping a VFR1200 engine into an Africa Twin frame, would that satisfy the most noble of adventure seekers?
Imagine 170+ bhp shaft drive also as standard, Africa V4 VFR
Or simpler, modifiy the VFR1200 into an adventure bike.
Perhaps changing sports tourers into more Adventuristic bikes.

Sadly we do not see many bikes being modified like that, which they did in the old days.

It was called the Crosstourer, excellent bike but strangely overlooked

They tried with the VFR1200X but it was a heavy pig and quite top-heavy as well.

Perhaps that is why I have never seen one, weight can be an added issue with larger engines.

Bmw boxer engines still are the lowest of frame hung engines? or are there any competitors?

Maybe adding a supercharger to an Africa twin 1100 would have better benefit for producing more torque.

New AT looks expensive...........I still have my 2021MY adventure sports but it has too many miles to get a reasonable trade in price.

The VFR1200X didn't sell well here so Honda had leftovers in their warehouse. I ended up buying a 2017 at substantial discount and tried to like it. The engine runs well and DCT worked well also but it was very abrupt off idle so it was jerky riding slow on a bumpy dirt road. The big negatives for me were no cruise control and all the weight up so high.

Thank you for sharing that information, I possibly did see one in a Honda dealership long time ago, but seldom visit dealerships these days.
Feeling left behind on the latest models going, catch up only by reading what is new on this Forum.

Looking forward to the V3 arriving. I think it will go into their roadsters and a sports bike before it finds it way into an adventure bike
As suspected - at least it looks imminent 😀

V3R 900 E-Compressor Planned Production Model
Honda will exhibit the V3R 900 E-Compressor Planned Production Model, featuring a proprietary V-type three-cylinder engine equipped with the world’s first*1electronically-controlled compressor for a motorcycle.

The model features a distinctive asymmetrical design and incorporates a titanium fuel tank, exhaust pipes, and muffler.

It also features an enhanced version of Honda RoadSync,*2 offering new functions including an improved human-machine interface (HMI) for more intuitive operation and AI-powered voice controls.

Hardly a new adventure bike, just a refresh and update.

The V3 looks like a potentially great street bike, as does the new cbr500R (four cylinder).

I just wish they would build a decent midsized adventure bike that works off-road as opposed to following the crowd with huge overweight lumps.

Generally looks good with exception of that hideous tablet display (it's not a Tesla ffs!) and the enduro version surely would have benefitted from a smaller capacity lighter motor. a CRF800 enduro could tick a lot of boxes.

Transalp 750?

It's hard to tell how or if they've simplified the controls and electronic aids. One thing I hated on my 1100 was after fiddling around to make the changes I wanted, once the bike is turned off some changes made revert back to Honda's default. IMO any change that must be done through the display menus should remain until the owner changes it.
Did I catch it lost some fuel capacity? Like from 20L down to 17 or 18? Or is that only the "enduro version"?
