New BMW's!
It takes a while to bond. My 14 was magnificent and BMW need a few miles on them to bed in.
I had the same when I had a 2000 ZX12R and replaced it with a new 02 ZX12R. I didnt like it at all until I has 5000 miles ridden.
My 16 is due for its 10,000km service and it's running sweet.
I put on a full Titanium system + Rapid bike evo.
Observations.
I have to rely on gut seat of the pants analysis.
I would love to get in onto Mark's dyno and actually see what is happening.
First of all its a pain to fit onto a GSA. The LH plugs are hard to get at and the loom has to go across the bike.
I lifted the back of the fuel tank and ran it underneath. Allow a day to fit.
I think it "learns" the bike and in my case it's taken a while. I am thinking it needs spirited riding to set itself up.
Not sure this is what I think.

Where am I at now?
After a few weeks riding my lovely Varadero, and with un-seasonal 11 degree weather I opted to take the BMW on a spirited west Galway rideout.
The Varadero is fast and an exceptional motorcycle, but..................

The GSA is a whole new chapter.
The thing is a beast - a torque monster.
This motorcycle goes like stink right from the bottom of the rev range.
The low 16 has magnificent suspension and TC, better than the 14.
It also sounds like a motorcycle even with the DB killer in place.
I am buzzing.

glad it aint just me then that thinks the 16/17 gsa is a totally diferent animal to the 14 model, I fookin love mine
