New alloy top box manufacturer defects

When looking at my bike this morning noticed a crack in the seem welds on my alloy top box.
I had to go to my dealer anyway to pick some parts up l ordered for my misses bike.
I told them while l was there and they said that they would just order me a new one, but couldn't tell me when it will arrive.

I had the same thing when I took delivery of my bike, I didn't notice until I'd got home, but one quick call and they ordered up a replacement straight away

Looks like it was a fault when it was welded as the crack runs right along the middle of the weld.
