Pick my R1200GS up tomorrow morning at Balderston Peterborough - I've bought the fasted colour - RED. Cant wait!

Mine name is Will also

... and I've also bought the faster red colour!

I've already got afew touratech goodies waiting in the garage to go on (allthough I'm one of the many who are still waiting for the TT crash bars to turn up:( ).

Will I never ;)
Where there's a Will there's a brand new 1200GS in red being ridden away

etc...:D

enjoy the new toys, you picked a damn fine choice of colour, and a nice weekend to get them run in :)

Oh no its not!

Depends how tall/wide one is. Speaking (well, typing actually) as a 6'2" 16 stone weakling, a new screen is on the way. Prolonged blast from a day's quick riding is too much.

:D

Fair enough, but as a piece of advice to a new 1200 owner - bin the screen - it's too strong. I'm 6 foot, and find the screen fine. Moreover, I can lower it when it's really warm and enjoy the blast.

Can you imagine the scene as you pick up your new pride & joy, & someone comes up and tells you to chuck a (significant) part of it in the bin? I know what I'd think.

Welcome to the next chapter of your life.

1) Ride your new bike.
2) See what you think.
3) Buy new baubles to hang from it's finely crafted appendages..
