New bike day!

Yes, it’s the adventure TE.

Normally come with gold wheels, but I was lucky enough to find one with the exact spec I wanted with black wheels and heated seats, without the wait for delivery.

It had 5 miles on the clock. It’ll be past 400 by tomorrow evening :D
Looks really great. I'm with you on the wheels. I'm no fan of the gold wheels either.

Ahhh. A heated seat. I'm heading back from Italy on Tuesday. Temps will be very very low! I'm already dreaming of the idea of a heated seat .

Put my deposit down on the same model yesterday. Getting the heated seat but with gold wheels

Arranged to have it delivered in March as I've got other bikes to play on if we get decent weather before then.

I’m not convinced that heated seats are quite the revolution I was expecting, having used them. I’d still spec them, for what they cost, but I was left somewhat underwhelmed by the whole experience (I was obviously expecting something magical to happen, and it was a bit meh :D). Having said that, I’m heading out in 1/2 and hour and it’s feckin freezing, so maybe that will change my mind.

Heated seats.
And a ex Harley man. You've turned soft.

I love the heated seats. They are super comfortable aswell. Biggest day I did was 350 miles and they were great.

I went for the same spec as you but have the SOS button. Not my choice but it was in the showroom like that.

Today is the day….and there’s snow on the ground and a feckin’ gale blowing :D:D:D

When I picked up my twin cam there was flash flooding in London and that was July.

I really don’t have much luck with the weather when I buy motorcycles :blast

it would appear your luck with the weather has struck again,

Well I’ve just dropped it 200 yards from home :D

Approximate speed of 2 mph…..bastard!

Minimal damage, so it’s all good, bikes amazing, but the traction control is shit :D

Oh, and heated seats are indeed mega :thumb

Good job about the bike (few scrapes) and you’re ok

It’s not called an “Adventure” for nothing, the crashbars are there for a reason, sports bikes have hero spikes on the very edge of the tyres, “adventure” bikes need scrapes on the bars to show they have been properly used :thumb

Enjoy :beerjug:

Noo!
Just out of interest was it the engine bars that got dinged, and which bit touches down first is the the bottom bit under the head or the one that is half way up that touches down first?

And yep, heated seats are good, have to stand up on mine after 40 mins or so to cool me arse off!

Bloody hell.
Which side ? Although my spare crashbars are scratched from me dropping mine green laning.

Oh bugger!

I'll buy it off you, but I'll want a massive discount now it's damaged

The lower crashbar goes down and bends meaning the bottom of the cam cover hits down.

I need to add the touratech extension to stiffen the whole set up and stop it from flexing.

It really was a nothing of a drop, scratch crashbar and cam cover and a broken mirror adapter. Surprised the cam cover got scraped.
