Just picked up my second new GS1250 from Alan Jeffries. It is a brand spanker TE model in white with heated seats and looks terrific. Seems to ride and run better than my old one - must be that new bike magic fairy dust that you get!

Is the fairy dust covered by the warranty?

They do run better than the previous model - by the way it's not a GS1250, it is a R1250GS TE

White ones are better.
Triple black fastest,once you try black no going back.you won't be disappointed with your new bike which ever color it is.enjoy it,hill hold is

Latest software does help, and much fairy dust.

The facts of the matter
White is for CHAV’s in Range Rovers taking the kids to school.
R1250GS and GSA’s were designed bybBMW to be three shades of black, ideally referred to as Triple Black (TB). Little know fact but, because BMW designed the bike to be presented in this colour scheme, they actually map the ECU slightly differently to ensure that the TB is actually faster.

Enjoy guys, whatever colour or spec, or frackes suit your personal taste and preferences. Although we all love the GS we are all unique individuals.

You said you are on you second 1250...I assume the first one was a EU-4 bike and your new one is EU-5...I hear the EU-5 ones don't crackle anymore when you close the throttle ? That would be sad... I like the new LED blinkers though and ECO mode can be helpful in remote areas where gas stations are few and far apart !

My 2021 bike makes a lovely noise on the overrun, better than my previous 5 1200s - there is really no need for an Akrapovic on the 2021 bikes. Perfectly fuelled and more grunt, what's not to like?

Crackles and pops more I reckon!! Akra can too now so it sounds great. Not tried ECO mode!
I have a new 2021 GSA TE. It crackles like a good'un on the over run every time. My K1600 would do it in dynamic mode. The old twin thumper does it without provocation. Always brings a smile to the boy in me ;-)

Glad to hear you are enjoying the new bike. As mentioned here I am picking up the faster version (triple black) GSA tomorrow. It’s going to be hard to sleep tonight
