I thought the Acewell CA085 was virtually a plug'n"play option ?I don’t want to hack up the new loom to fit the combined instruments so I needed this connector..
Made me sweat when I pressed the pay now button.View attachment 296188
Still they generously gave me a couple of spare contact pins![]()

Where can you find the gs loom? The Acewell IS plug and play, so long as you have the gs loom.
Mikey didn’t have the gs loom with the round multi wire plug that would make the Acewell ca85 a plug and play option. That’s why he had to buy the round electric connector.
I fitted the Acewell to my g/s , and it really is plug and play, so long as you set the ratio right for the wheel circumference. I had to play around with the numbers til I could get it to read the speed correctly…. Now it’s very accurate when compared with gps speed.
Ive got that battery on my G/S and the terminals that came with it are a right pain .Time to start tidying the wiring up.

Not sure I understand what you mean?Ive got that battery on my G/S and the terminals that came with it are a right pain .
Where did you get those ones ?
Yes the ends of the cablesNot sure I understand what you mean?
Those are just cap screws straight onto the battery terminals.
If you mean on the end of the cables?
Those are bespoke.
The ones I got for my basic and the project were both plug and play into the GS loom. I got them from motorworksMikey
contact Acewell and they do a “plug and play” Acewell CA85.
not sure if it’s on the website as such, but phone them, and they will do one.
I thought you had bought the connector that fits to the standard gs g/s loom.
well….. they certainly used to do the plug n play CA85 when 8 got mine a few years back.
I bought straight from Acewell, not from digital speedo website.
ps. Thanks for the info on the heated grips having holes at end. If I need to replace my oxford heated grips I will get
these as I like the integrated button.
keep the updates coming, bikes looking great
