That is such a nice bike….

We had the day off yesterday to vote so I went picked up my new 1200GS (Gray) too. Went for a nice 300KM drive and it’s just a pleasure. I can’t wait to get out on it this afternoon. I want to get the first 1000km done soon as so that I can start using the rest of the power.

Good luck with the riding in and try to keep the wheels on the ground..

Cheers

Slippy

Looking Good Nadeem..... !

Glad to see you haven't lost your ability to fit some lurvly accessories!!! :D

Enjoy

Cheers :thumb

Just watch that the light fingered ones don't come back for a second bite of the cherry!

Red's nice but I still prefer my blue one!

Andy

Nadeem. I envy you.
I think that I will change the color of mine to mat black :) It will not be exactly new, but not that far !
Probably a lot less faster than my actual red color though :P

Beautiful. Have fun getting it dirty! :thumb

BTW, not got a new car too have you? I Followed 2 NDM around the M23/5 from Gatwick last night and he took the A2 turn-off before the tunnel. On a Bently coupe, looked rather new and expensive.

wasn't me sadly...

Andy the bike is secured by chain to a ground anchor...

well done nadeen. i am new at this site and not from UK. From Australia . i have to make up my mind tonight whether to go for !!50 gs adv or a gs 1200./ why did you choose 1200 and why not adv. Thanks heaps.

Mark, it's down to personal choice at the end of the day...I use my bike to get in & out of central london in very heavy traffic and the lighter 1200 is better for this, but also good for touring, etc. My choice was between the 1200 or the 1200gsa as the 1150adv is not available new in any case.

I suggest you take the bikes out for a spin and see what you prefer... :thumb

bike

Nadeem

Not met you, and am fairly new to this site. (Got my 12 in December), but had a R100GS way back in 1991.
Glad to hear youve got a new bike after the thieving bastards nicked your old one ( know how that feels, but was an Elsie many years ago, and I can STILL remember the wrench to the guts)
If you need some company to run it in this weekend, gimme a shout (am in Surrey, so we can both get some miles in to meet up etc)

Best of luck with the new toy

Dave

Thanks Dave. appreciated, the only thing I'll be doing on the bike this weekend is off to the Ace on sunday, where a few of us will meet up at around 10am...you're welcome to join us. I'm busy all day Saturday so won't get much of a chance to get out...

Hey thanks, gday mate as we say here, i plan to do a lot "of oz" on this bike so not worried re commuting bit. The joys of Oz! 1150 gs adv is still new here we have not had the hype re 1200gs adv yet (needless to say it will come). I think i will opt for 1150 adv as it is a really good price (bit worried re xtra wieght) and i will utilise all the options, and the 1200 gs adv will be ridiculously priced when introduced here. Hey have fun on your new one. cheers mark :

hey Nadeen , just an update. I ordered 1150 adv this morning hopefully picking it up by next weekend. Thanks for your advice. I did not mind heaviness and plan to do a fair bit of off road down under. Send you all some pics. :bounce1 :bounce1 :thumb :thumb

Nice bike Nadeem, get some knobblies on those rims for the next Salisbury plain rideout. Enjoy the bike mate. :thumb
