I am now the proud owner of a new Tirple black GSA after BMW came good and replaced my 16month old GSA after it's third engine strip and rebuild due to excessive oil use.
The older bike had been a nightmare and constantly used engine oil like I owned half of Saudi Arabia. It seemed to slow down and sort of sat in the 'accepted norm' of 1ltr/1000 miles, but just before it broke down again, started to again use 1/2 ltr in about 200 miles. :censor:
BMW initially were reluctant to agree to do an exchange, and wanted me to put in money to exchange the bike, something I was determined not to do. After talking through options with the tea at Cooper Sunderland, I seemed to be making little progress, until I spoke with the service manager, Mr Paul Sharman. It was then that events changed and BMW offered to change the bike at no cost to myself.
It is all to easy to slag dealers off, but, Paul Sharman of Cooper Sunderland, has been stirling in his efforts to assist me in my preferred option. Steve Brown (sales) ensured that once all was agreed that the change over happened as quickly as possible to get me back on 2 wheels. So here I am, 1 month on from feeling very pissed at BMW, to having my faith restored.
So I wish to publicly thank the team at Cooper Sunderland and BMW for restoring my faith in the marque.
A happy bunny I am now :beer::beer::beer:

Good news for you.

I wonder what they'll do with the GSA :augie

Great result, ultimately that's what counts.:clap

It's good to see some recognition for Steve and Paul too, they're great guys who always seem to be courteous and professional. I know it's their job to behave that way, but many others in the industry don't, so it's refreshing to encounter two people who put their customers first and are willing to back them up when necessary.:beerjug:

I don't think Stev or Paul made that decision to change your bike you will find it came from above, but that will not mater you got a exchange nothing to pay and its not that often that happens,
What I would like to no witch poor soul got your old bike ?

Very well played, and good luck with the new one.

Nice one.

I bought my GSA from Coopers and have had great service. Shaft seal went after a week and sorted no problems, flakey fairing paintwork got sorted just as quickly.

Great set of lads in there

Paul Sharman and the team at Coopers. Top Bloke, Top People. Years ago Coopers (Then Mill Garages) didn't have a very good reputation. All that has changed, just wish those who control the purse strings at Coopers could make an investment into updating the rather cramped and tired Motorcycle section of the sprawling dealership.

You must spend a lot of money there or inside dealings as when I walk in they don't even bother to look at me, so I take my money else where.
as for mill I can't see any change

just ask mick Mckenrick who left because there service was not second two none it was about last

I've never had any issues either, perhaps they just don't like you for some reason;)

I turned up in my scruffy Chav suit looking like I didn't have a penny to my name pulling up in my dads 10 year old fiat but was still treated as I should be. I did purchase a GSA TB but I do look like a scruff when I want.

Hopefully I have no issues but I am confident if I do it will be sorted without issue.

Sorry for you then. I've never had a problem with customer service. Paul Sharman goes the extra mile all the time. Top bloke as they say:thumb

Goes the extra mile,,,, shut up,,, you haven't got a clue m8, they can't tell you when a battery is good or not, they are payed to respond to people how have more money than sense, you must have money, thank you
