New Bike :)

2005 bike 5 years and 45,000 miles
2010 bike 3 years and 29,000 miles
2013 bike 2 years and 22,600 miles

I could probably have kept them for 100,000miles each with normal servicing and a bit of maintenance, but fancied a change and I don't have a car so why not have a new bike?

2015 bike, we shall see, but guess 2 years and 22,000 miles - if I am still gainfully employed in 2 years and still fit enough at 60 to ride then I will have another :)

Yep I can see the pattern, the newer the bike the less time you keep or use it.

Your maffs is poor the yearly mileage is increasing with the newer bikes :)

Good point, well presented. Math never my strong point. Should have read the newer the bike the less time you keep it, think I'm safe with that.

You are safe with that :) who knows what the future will bring, might never have another bike after this one??? We go on a European trip most years with a friend from Glasgow, he is 73 this year, I think? he is still more than a bit tasty on his Honda Blackbird so hopefully, with a bit of luck I still have a few years to go before I am forced to give up motorcycling :)
