Ok 4months ago I ruptured my achilles tendon. 9 weeks in a cast now doing physio. Only problem my foot is still so swollen I can't get my Sdi boots on? I need a boot that can be adjusted so as to fit my normal size left foot and still adjust so as to fit my swollen right foot? :nenau

Any suggestions? Yep I know I will get some funny ones but I still need a pair of boots for next Friday as the bike is booked in for its 12000 mile/2 year service and I have a 80 mile round trip to do?

Which Sidis do you have at the moment? I have Sidi Flexforce SRS (see below) and there's a wide range of adjustment, including the foot strap. I'd also imagine that you'd want something with that much support and protection if you're going to be riding with a buggered Achilles tendon.

Alpine stars tech 10
Very comfy and suprisingly flexible with a wee bootie inside with ankle support
Love mine :thumb

Surely you can get someone to ride your bike to the shop for you??!! or is it fit to ride but simply cant get your boots on??

Dainese Virunga D-Dry, just bought a pair to supplement my black rains. Waterproof, yet to be tested, and with motocross style adjustable straps at ankle and lower calf with a velcro top. Nice and rigid too! :thumb

Ok tried the suggested boots today plus some others. The only ones that will fit around my swollen ankle and calf are Hein Gericke Toureg Gortex. :) So I am now bedding them in around the house ready for my first ride out since early May.
Thanks for your help. :bow

I have also just bought some Gericke Toureg boots.
Many years ago I smashed lower left leg and have for years been wearing combat boots to ride bikes. These are the only bike boots that I have found that I can get my leg into and that feel comfortable around the damaged area.
