Hi everyone....thinking about buying a GS and had this site recommended.Very impressive altogether with lots of relevant info which has convinced me that I'm back with the right marque.
Had three boxers R60/5, R90/6 and and R80 over the years and never had too many complaints but decided to try something different for a while.
Switched to a Pan for a couple of years and then went off the rails a little with a Moto Guzzi V10 Centauro which is a lovely bike and rare as hen's teeth in Ireland...but it has proved a little troublesome at times.
Hence my decision to return to the reliability and back-up of BMW which has served me so well and given me so many miles of happy touring. The Pan and the Guzzi ticked plenty of boxes, but I'm quite happy to get back on board a Beemer.
With websites like this with such a comprehensive forum, it's very re-assuring and comforting for a returning son.
