New camshaft, any advice?

Now Christmas is out of the way. I was toying with the idea of fitting a new camshaft. I've looked at the offerings from Wunderlich and they have a couple of different types. Has anyone got experience with these cams? Are they any good? One is 100euros more than the other, you will only ever fit one so which one would you go for?
 
Not much point in just fitting a camshaft. You'd be better off raising the compression first. Is it a 100GS?

I fitted 9.5:1 pistons and a 336 Cam, one piece valves with a 2mm bigger inlet and it got me an extra 6 Bhp. Personally I'd just raise the compression
 
I agree with Rob.

It started life as an 80 it's now a 100. I've had the heads/Pistons/barrels machined to match and raise the comp. It now goes like stink but more so above 5 thou. Thought a nice cam might bring the power lower down the Rev range. The work was done by Steve Scrimminger who also thought a cam might bring me more lower down. Depending on the result was thinking about bigger valves and or gas flowing.

The 336 gives you more bottom end but can put a dip in the midrange. Richie says the standard 318 is a decent cam in it's own right. I went for a 324, along with porting, valves and much higher comp pistons. Its a slippery slope with questionable gains. My Moorespeed engine goes like billyo but my standard GS chassis struggles to cope. Where do you stop? Sensibly you are better off getting the bike running as best you can and buying a sports bike for speed.

I have a Triumph 955 sprint as well so I have the intergalactic speed issue covered. It's not as satisfying as a lusty twin though plus I know it's stupid but I like to have something that's mine, that I have built over time. I'm trying to get away from "flat out". I have an autobahn with no speed limit on my way to work and it's just to easy to get suckered into the going to work GP everyday. On my Beemer I lunge to work with a smile on my face. On the Triumph it's all to easy to end up ripping along at airspeed unknown.
