Need a advise.

I was pretty impressed with the sound of the 2010 GS, but but....

I was always a fan of the Akrapovic, but think that the prices on the cans is a little too high. What is the alternatives?

LeoVince?
BOS?
Remus??

What sound comes closest, to a reasonable price???
And of cause, it needs to fit the original Adventure bags.

What do you drive with, and why....

Patiently wait for one to appear on eBay?

Friend of mine has an '06 1200 and he managed to get a complete system for £500.

Other than that, I've heard the Remus is pretty good...

I guess used Akrapovic, for a 2010 are really rare, still.

And I was looking for a can only, wanted to keep the pipes and valve....

Had the Remus as my second choise....thanks

I have been more than impressed with my Beowulf can. Bargain price too. I believe I have read somewhere on here that one for the 2010 GS is in or near to production.
A friend of mine has a Remus on his 1150 and loves the sound of mine.
It fits with the vario panniers no problem, intact there seems to be more clearance all round.

BOS can making all the right noises. Quiet if you trickle around and once it's warmed up, eg after a few miles of 50-60 it'll produce glorious pops and farts on downchanges.
With the standard 'exup' valve on the 2010, the sound is ace accelerating away from a corner in a gear that's a shade too high.
Jap fours will go whining past but old blokes will turn to look at the bike.

In Germany there is adds at about € 650 for a Akrapovic.....£ 690 is really expencieve!

I have to admit though, on my Blackbird that I sold last summer I had two cans from Akrapovic......and I really love the Akrapovic sound!!

So in general I am looking for the same sound, just at a more reasonable price.

Yes it was ebay, just a special offer i guess, i no that other tossers got the remaining two. You just have to be lucky with timings
