Hi all,
I recieved a letter from Blue Bell Crewe today saying that they will no longer be doing bike after sales as there is a new dealer 'Chester Motorrad' opening soon at Little Stanney, Ellesmere Port !

Anyone heard any more info, dates etc ?

Chris

Hi to the site :)

Best ask Timpo as I think he said something like that as he's a local, but he's away on holiday at the moment AFAIK.

Hi Dudes.
Yep, the new dealership is at Junction 10 on the M53, along side the Chester Harley Davidson, here:-

I believe the construction of the new building will begin at the end of the year, but trading will commence in a portacabin asap, as the company are very keen to establish a client base.

If I hear any more, I'll put it on this thread.:thumb2

Timpo.

PS. I would of asked a few more questions, but I didn't want to risk being seen in a HD showroom.......:augie

Hello all,

I can add some info to this but I'm at work atm so I'll pop on later and let you know what's what...

The dealer principal is Kirk Herbert, he was involved with Chester Harley Davidson before it closed down and went to Ellesmere Port. Apparently, so I've heard, he 's a bit of a wiz with engine tuning and stuff.

Ok,

The situation is relatively fluid at the moment as it takes a bit of time to sort out the logistics of putting the various elements (ie. portacabin, workshop special tools, diagnostic equipment etc) of the temporary set-up into place, and obviously many things can change along the way.

As things stand right now, the aim is to be trading in the 2nd or 3rd week in September, from a portacabin, while the new dealership building is being constructed.

Letter states Chester Motorrad, Stanney Mill Lane, ...Chester, CH2 4HY

Streetmap puts it on the M53 J10, closer to Ellesmere Port, but I guess Chester is better for marketting :hide

Excellent news for the North Wales fraternity. It will save me a 142 mile round trip to Manchester or Southport each time I need a service. Talking of which my GSA is due a 12,000 mile service shortly, any idea when the new centre is taking bookings? :)

Will Blue Bells' mechanic be moving as well?

Blue Bell's mechanic has been looking after my old airheads for a while, will he be moving to Chester as well?

These new premises are just down the road from me. I'll pay a visit over the weekend & take a few photos & post them. I'll post an accurate GPS co-ord too.

Tbh, I'm pretty happy taking my GS to Roy Gardner nr. Southport for servicing & MOTs. He's an 'independant' & I was very happy with my 1st experience. He let's you watch & stand with him while he's working on it. Nice relaxed atmos & there's a decent cafe nearby.

Hi Paul,

I'd be obliged if you would let me know the contact telephone number of the new dealer and the opening date when known. I just want to book a service as soon as.

Thanks. :)

went to Harley shop today chatting to Chris there who said they hoped to start end of next month so in line with all posts. Although I use Roy garner who is excellent . the trip of 6 miles will be oh so convienient. Must admit the Harley bikers outnumbered me about 50 to 1 !

Certainly no BMW presence atm.
Can't even work out where they're going to set up. There's not a lot of room left on that lane.

Rode down on my CBR & not 1 Harley rider nodded! :)

Ellesmere Port Motorrad doesn't really cut the mustard, does it.

No problem. I'll post a telephone number on here as soon as I have one. I'm due to start there on the 16th September and the current estimate for the workshop to be operational is the end of September. As I mentioned earlier, the dates are subject to change at the moment with there being so much to put in place etc.

I will post further when I have something substantial to add...
