i will forward information

Hello Jon,

You really need to ask Santa for some waterproof trousers!

Email address is **** Email address removed at Paul's request due to sudden influx of spam... (BHT)

I haven't sussed out this PM malarkey yet...

i'm in the construction industry and at the moment there isn't a lot of work around. mostly due to banks withdrawing offers of funding they had previously agreed to. apparently the banks think a motorbike dealership is risky business at the moment !!!!

Chester Motorrad and BMW are 100% behind this project and I can catergorically state that the new dealership is still going ahead.

Inevitably, when undertaking any project of this size, there will be setbacks and delays, which can give rise to rumours. Business is going well, the Workshop should be opening in the next few weeks and we really do appreciate everybodys support while we are in our temporary facilities and are looking forward to building a flagship BMW Motorrad Dealership to serve BMW riders across Cheshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and North Wales.

There are enough unsubstantiated rumours of financial disaster in my newspaper every day without reading them here. If a business was rich enough to open a BMW dealership a few months ago they probably still are now.

I've visited the place a few times recently and everyone seems very positive about the new build.

I wouldn't be put off by any rumours and give the new dealership a chance to get established.

Paul, good to meet you today and very decent of BMW to open up a dealership within 5 miles of where I live...the butty van is just a bit too close for a ride out so I "had" to pop to the Ponderosa afterwards...

Reputation is built on service....

And if the service that I received from Paul today is the norm, then I believe we will have a cracking dealership in the North West.

I ordered a number of parts for my bike on the phone this morning and when Paul realised that I was a good hours journey away he offered to post the parts to me at cost.

I’m not sure if this is a service that will be offered in the long term, but it’s refreshing that he offered the service without me asking. :thumb2

Good luck with your new venture Paul.

Phil H

The Ponderosa is a nice spot. But our butties are better!

If anyone else would like a BMW Dealership opening withing 5 miles of where they live, just drop me a line, and I'll see what I can do. :D

Jono, I'm going to have to come clean here and admit that those photos scare the living crap out of me. I (accidentally (obviously)) went off-roading on an R1200RT once (Allt y badi anyone?).

In the dark.

In the winter.

All thanks to blindly (stupidly?) following a SatNav unit (I won't mention which brand it was :augie ) and I think it scarred me for life. It took no time at all to fall off. It took bloody ages to pick the sodding thing up.
The R1150GS Adventure is nearly taller than me and apparently I look like a jockey when I ride one. Taking one off road? I don't think my balls are big enough. I do fancy a blast on something a bit more suitable for me though. I'm even going to the Dirt Bike Show on Sunday and I've asked Father Christmas for a G450X but I'm starting to think he doesn't even exist...

I don't know what I'm going to tell the kids.

Thanks Phil, glad I could help out. All but 1 of your bits are in stock now and the last part is due in on Tuesday so you should have them mid/late next week.

[Big Deep Breath]

The workshop is now, officially, open for business. :guitarist

In the few short weeks since we began trading, I have built up a waiting list of in excess of 80 people who want service/repair etc for their bikes which is really encouraging and I think shows that there is great support out there for a BMW Motorrad Dealership in this area. As I currently only have 1 technician it is going to take me a while to work through that list. I will do my best to try and cater for emergencies but to try and be fair to everyone, I am going to work through the list in the order that it happened and I will probably only book about a week ahead on a rolling basis rather than book everyone on the list in, and risk having to re-schedule lots of people if another customers bike runs over in terms of time due to additional work etc. Obviously the lead time and the booking capacity will improve dramatically as I get through the waiting list and as we scale up the staff and facilities. If somebody simply cannot wait and their bike needs servicing yesterday, then I would advise them to travel a bit further along the M56 to Williams Manchester, where I'm sure they will be looked after. Obviously, I'd rather people come to Chester Motorrad but people getting their bikes done when they want them done is more important.

Anyway, I'm trying to combat a stinking cold at the moment by drinking beer, and there's another bottle of Hobgoblin in the kitchen with my name on it - so I shall bid you all goodnight!

ps. thanks to Colin Hardwick for ringing me up today and saying "Oi! Why haven't you replied to that post on "that GS website"!" - there literally are not enough hours in the day at the moment!

I'll second the praise for Paul and Chester Motorrad. New GSA on its way after a good friendly deal..

eeeeeeeee i'm exited

Thanks Paul

Just had my 12GS serviced at Chester Motorrad - great service. Paul is very attentive and gives honest and impartial advice.
The new Site will make a great rendezvous/meet up location when its all finished although will be a strange mix of Harley D Peter Fonda wannabes and BM autobahn bashers on a sunny Sat afternoon. :)

PS
Paul - the dodgy LAMPR warning seems to have been fixed by backing off the rear light cover screws a touch - suspect a dodgy connection somewhere!
