New Discs

Just got my R1100GS through its MOT. No problems but they did report that the discs (front and rear) were very worn and would need replacing by the next MOT.

It wasn't really a surprise to me as I've done about 38,000 miles commuting to and from London in heavy traffic.

Is replacing them a DIY job for someone reasonably OK mechanically? I've got a Haynes manual, decent tools and carry out my own interim servicing.

Mine is an ABS model.

What discs do you recommend? Prices etc.

Jon, I should think that its a fairly straight forward job, but have not changed mine yet so I don't know. GO ON AND DO IT...
There was a thread yesturday from a guy who used cast iron disc replacements. Try and find it as there were some pros and cons
