anyone heard/read about off-road capabilities of these tyres?? on first look very interesting specs!! might be the choice for my next set. good ridin' !!
http://www.dunlop-tires.com/dunlop_euen/mc/tyres/on_off_road/Trailmax_TR91.jsp gives you pics AND a story. the reason why I brought this up is the fabulous reputation of the ROADSMART dunlops, which, btw, are available in sizes that fit my bike F650GS. good option, if you hardly ever leave the road. I think that knowledge of the roadsmarts is used and integrated in the TRAILMAX's, the build (silica front AND rear!) and the rubbercompound seems the same. if they were able to add off-road capability to that you have a winner. the battlewings I am on now are useless in sand and mud, and not much better than a roadtyre on gravel. and, my dear SANTRIX, I get 12.200 results in google on "trailmax tr91", not so lazy.......

Nah, those tyres aren't going to be any better than the battlewings in sand and mud. Just looking at the tread pattern they seem to be on a par with Conti Trail Attacks.

I'd go along with that as I run Trail Attacks which as you say, have a very similar tread pattern. Will be fine on dry tracks but when they get onto mud the rear wheel just spins and you go nowhere.
