Here's a new one, looks like a TomTom attack on Garmin.

Ha ha.....Mike Werner beat you to it :D He posted it earlier this afternoon
Any idea of the price yet ?

Oops, I did check first... where did he put it then?

And no, I don't have a clue what it will cost...

Cheers,
Michel

Here Their car units are about Euro 750 for similar spec but as the bike unit will need to be weather resistant and biker proof I wonder .....could be around Euro 1000 but I'm just guessing .

Gecko .. that's not being fair to Migsel as indeed I know.. and at least he mentions the product by name.

The most comprehensive review, I have seen and read to date, has been that posted by the PocketGPS team of Mike Barrett and Dave Burrows. Their review was timed to coincide with the announcement at the CEBIT launch.

But, if anyone missed it and want a full read of their review, then look on

I guess it will dawn later, when someone utters within the forum
'.. mount it on my ..'

No sweat Steve, the Gecko and I are just playing around :koi

Tom Tom Go mounting

Here's something to think-on and ponder.

The base can be attached on to any 1" B size ball and will be offered as a handlebar mount kit.

Migsel (here's a first view), I think it will work with your speedo bracket with a
short arm RAM-B-201-A plus a RAM-B-202-TO1 .

More in a few weeks time.

here's a a first view of the RAM-B-202-TO1 base mount for the TomTomGO

The RAM ball mount attaches onto the GO base mount and connector.

Tom Tom will be prototyping the first production line pcb's into finished units mid May for final test/debugging prior to full production (this is still an estimate). Just too late for my trip. :(

Anyone got a Quest power & audio bike mount kit they don't need in May? I've got provisional orders in with the three reseller's most likely to receive them, but none of them seem hopefull that they will get stock in time. PB
